アメリカを拠点に活動したカナダ人アーティスト、アグネス・マーティン（Agnes Martin）の作品集。2000年4月から6月にかけてニューヨークの「ペース・ギャラリー（PACE GALLERY）」（当時の名称は「ペースウィルデンシュタイン（PACEWILDENSTEIN）」）で開催した展覧会に伴い刊行された。

1999年に制作されたアクリル絵画と黒鉛（グラファイト）画作品があわせて15点収録されており、半透明のベラム紙に作品のイメージを印刷して綴じられた、美しい造本に仕上げられた一冊。作者の人生と芸術性にまつわる思索に加え、「ペース・ギャラリー（PACE GALLERY）」創設者であり、作者の展覧会においてマネージャーを務め、そして親しい友人でもあるアーネ・グリムシャー（Arne Glimcher）による序文も掲載する。

In this elegant publication of Agnes Martin’s paintings and writings, published in 2000 on the occasion of the exhibition held at Pace in New York, fifteen of Martin’s acrylic and graphite works from 1999 are presented on vellum paper. In addition to the artist’s musings on life and art, Agnes Martin: Paintings and Writings also includes an introduction by Arne Glimcher.
