2009年、作者はバンコクの街をバイクで移動するカップルを97点の写真に収めた。作者は自らも移動する車両の中から位置を合わせ、後部座席の乗客にカメラをまっすぐ見つめるよう、そして笑わないようにと頼んだという。「笑顔は本当の顔を隠してしまうから」。

Fleeting, romantic black-and-white glimpses of couples on motorcycles weaving through the streets of Bangkok

In 2009, Japanese photographer Lieko Shiga (born 1980) captured 97 images of couples traveling by motorcycle through the streets of Bangkok. She would align herself from her moving vehicle and ask the passenger on the back seat to look directly at the camera without smiling, because "smiles tend to hide the authentic face."
