ベルギーを拠点とし、アドリアン・ヴェルシュエール（Adrien Verschuere）が2010年にブリュッセルで設立、2017年にはスイス・ローザンヌにも事務所を展開する建築スタジオ「バウクンスト（Baukunst）」の作品集。

本書は、フランス人写真家、ロマン・カヴァラン（Romain Cavallin）が撮影した写真を通して、ブリュッセルの革新的な建築「FRAME」の建設過程を、一層ずつたどる一冊である。

「FRAME」とは、将来的に整備される「ブリュッセル・メディアパーク（Brussels MediaPark）」地区の中核施設として構想された、コミュニケーションとメディアのための拠点である。本書は、2022年から2025年までの建設過程を時系列に沿って記録し、ロマン・カヴァランによる写真のセレクションと、一連の施工図面を収録している。各章では建物を構成する特定のレイヤーに焦点を当て、用途や状況に応じて変化しうる、このプロジェクトの柔軟な性質を浮かび上がらせている。

ブリュッセルの文化センター「シヴァ（CIVA）」芸術監督であり、国際的な建築プラットフォーム「e-flux Architecture」共同創設者でもあるニコラウス・ヒルシュ（Nikolaus Hirsch）は、次のように述べている。

「バウクンストと『FRAME』は、建築と呼びうるものの境界を押し広げ、ついには建築そのものを溶かしてしまう地点にまで到達している。」

The FRAME building was conceived as a centre of communication and media at the core of the future Brussels MediaPark district. The publication retraces the project's construction chronologically, from 2022 to 2025, featuring a selection of photographs by Romain Cavallin and a series of construction drawings. Each chapter focuses on a specific constructive layer, highlighting the project's adaptable nature. Nikolaus Hirsch, artistic director of CIVA Brussels and co-founder of e-flux Architecture: "BAUKUNST and their project FRAME push the boundary of what you could define as architecture, up to a point where you dissolve architecture itself."
