アメリカ人フォトグラファー、リチャード・アーリック（Richard Ehrlich）の作品集。アメリカの出版社「NAZRAELI PRESS」が手がけるプリント付き作品集シリーズ『ONE PICTURE BOOK TWO』の第35巻。

全100タイトルをもって完結した『ONE PICTURE BOOK』のアップグレード版である本シリーズ『ONE PICTURE BOOK TWO』は、装丁、サイズともにリニューアル。各タイトル500部限定発行、約127x178mm（約5x7インチ）のサイン入りプリントが付属し、前作と同様100タイトルで完結予定。

アフリカの南西に位置するナミビア共和国は広大な二つの砂漠に挟まれている。素晴らしく美しいこの大地は、世界有数のダイヤモンドの発掘場所として知られ、文字通り秘宝の地である。風によって形作られた砂丘が光に覆われて彩られている。

作者はこの息をのむような風景にとどまらず、いまでは砂の吹き溜まりとなっている家々の中も撮影した。色、形、模様、前住者の生活の密かな痕跡がこの見事な一冊に、丹念に、そして美しく記録されている。

2008年に同出版社より、作者がナミビアを写した作品集『NAMIBIA』を刊行しているが、すでに絶版となっている。そのオリジナル版の中から拾い上げた最も魅力的なイメージセレクションと未発表作数点をこの『ONE PICTURE BOOK TWO』シリーズ作に収録している。

Namibia, on the south-west coast of Africa, is sandwiched between two vast deserts. It is a land of amazing beauty and, quite literally, hidden gems, being one of the world's primary sources of diamonds. The sand dunes, shaped by the winds, are colored by the prevailing light.

Richard Ehrlich has captured not only the breathtaking landscape but also the insides of homes occupied now only by piles of drifting sand. The colors, shapes, patterns, and small signs of former inhabitants are meticulously and beautifully recorded in this gorgeous new book.

Nazraeli Press published Ehrlich’s monograph Namibia in 2008, and it sold out almost immediately. We are pleased to offer a selection of the most compelling images from the original publication, as well as several previously unpublished works from the same portfolio, as part of our One Picture Book Two series.

One Picture Book Two: an upgraded, upscaled follow-up to NAZRAELI PRESS' much-loved One Picture Book series of artists’ books. Each title is limited to 500 numbered copies, and includes a removable, signed, original print measuring approximately 5x7 inches. The books are slightly larger than those in the original series, with a fresh design and upgraded materials.
