20世紀初頭に活躍した自転車競技のチャンピオン達のポストカードセット。19世紀半ばに創設されたフランスの老舗食料品会社「Felix Potin（フェリックス・ポティン）」の販促用カードとして作られたものをもとした写真シリーズで作られており、サイクリング草創期における古の時代のチャンピオン達を記録している。伝説的な選手マーシャル「メージャー」テイラー（Marshall "Major" Taylor）、ディケントマン（Dickentmann）、トーワルド・エレガード（Thorvald Ellegaard）など、今では世間にすっかり忘れ去られてしまった世界チャンピオンたちが、カメラに向かって最高の自転車にまたがりポーズをとっている。

Retro cyclisme is a set of twelve postcards of champion cyclists from the turn of 20th Century. The series of photographs, originating from French grocery store Felix Potin’s promotional cards, documents and portrays individual champions from a long gone era of pioneering cycling. World champions such as the American Major Taylor, the Belgian Dickentmann or the Dane Ellegard, all but forgotten today pose on their best bicycle for the camera.
