フランス発、2020年に創刊した年三回刊行の建築批批評誌『DIXIT』の第4号。毎号2名の寄稿者を招き、これまで十分に扱われてこなかったテーマについての考察が提示される。

本号は「プロセス」を主題に、建築家ヤン・キンスベルゲン（Jan Kinsbergen）とデイヴィッド・クレマー（David Klemmer）の言葉を、二分法的なヴィジュアル・アトラスという形式のもとで対置している。

本書は、建築構想、構造工学、ヴィジュアライゼーションの領域にまたがる視覚的ドキュメントである。いわゆる実際の建設現場において最終到達点とされているものは、流用、ライフサイクル分析、変化といった別のプロセスの始まりにすぎない。完成されたプロジェクトではなく、むしろ未加工の素材こそが、プロセスの痕跡を示している。

絶えず刷新を続ける建築学の精神に則り、出版元である「CARYATIDE」は批評誌の役割を引き受けている。その目的は、同時代の出来事と直接向き合う声を提示することで、建築をめぐる言説をさらに豊かなものにすることにある。

建築は複数の探究が交差する地点に位置し、学際的なアプローチによって養われてきた分野である。この認識のもと、「CARYATIDE」は、社会的・政治的な視座によって建築を理解する批評的立場を維持し、その複雑さと志向を明らかにすることを基本原則としている。

In the spirit of a discipline that constantly renews itself, Caryatide Editions take up the mantle of the critical review. Their aim is to further enrich the architecture discourse by offering a voice that engages directly with current events. Architecture stands at the crossroads of multiple inquiries—a discipline nourished by cross-disciplinary approaches. In this sense, and as a defining principle, Caryatide is committed to maintaining a critical perspective, one enriched by the social and political lens through which architecture must be understood, in order to reveal its complexity and aspirations.
